Are you curious about why a clinical research company has a stall at the Auckland Gluten Free Food Festival?
On Saturday November 18, 2023 the Gluten Free Food Festival and the Coeliac NZ Conference will be held side by side at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau, Auckland. As sponsors of the events, we’re taking the opportunity to come and chat to the Auckland coeliac community about what we do as clinical researchers and the studies we are currently running for people diagnosed with coeliac disease.
What we do
Optimal Clinical Trials is a private clinical research centre with clinics in central Auckland and on the North Shore. Our aim is to help people live longer, happier, and healthier lives through our research into the development of potential new treatments.
Clinical research volunteers are at the heart of what we do which is why we work to give our volunteers the best possible experience that we can. Our volunteers experience a friendly welcome, expert care, flexible appointment times, light refreshments, free parking and compensation, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development of potential new medicines.
Why are we at the Gluten Free Food Festival?
We are currently looking for Aucklanders with diagnosed coeliac disease to volunteer for a number of studies. These studies will test the effectiveness of the investigational medications in reducing the body’s reaction to gluten and/or reducing coeliac symptoms like diarrhoea, bloating, nausea, and abdominal pain. Participation in these studies could lead to the development of possible new treatments, and has the potential to help fellow patients with coeliac disease.
